One of the most common types of bullying is cyberbullying. And there's nothing we can do to stop it. We can't delete every single mean comments or posts online. It all depends on the person that's posting it. And even though we may not be able to completely stop cyberbullying, we can teach our kids, students, others to always be kind no matter what. For example, schools can take the time to teach their students about the effects of bullying and teach them how to be kind.

I believe that students do need recess during school hours. If not recess, then maybe breaks between classes. These breaks can help students in a lot of ways. One way is that they won't overwork themselves and can take a little rest from the work their doing. Another way is they have quality time with themselves and also with their friends, which can reduces stress.Technology is what mostly everyone use these days. Even at schools. It's a fast way to get through things and easier. Also, in this generation, the kids mostly pay attention to teachings that are technology related then the old school ways like writing on board. For me, I definitely pay more attention and become more aware when my teachers uses technology to teach us, instead of writing on board or papers.Yes, money is needed in this world, to get food, shelter, etc. But does it buy happiness? As we all know, none of us are the same. There are some that cares about money a lot and there are others like me that don't really care as long as there's enough to get through. Happiness is not a thing that you can get from a store, or as a present. Happiness is a feeling that you get when you're surrounded with the people you love or do what you love. There's not a simple explanation to happiness. For example, on my birthday last year, I didn't get anything but I was still so happy because I was surrounded by my friends and families. I didn't care about the presents because all my loved ones were there. Another example was when I got in 3rd place at a singing competition. It was one step closer to my dream of becoming a singer, and I was honestly so proud of myself for accomplishing it. So overall, to some, their source of happiness may be getting presents, being loaded, nice houses, etc, but true happiness don't come from things we have. It comes from what we accomplished and who we love.High school should start later. The reason for this is because high school is a stressful place, where not just with homework, but with extra activities and more. Most high schoolers stay up late at night doing just to finish up their homework, which is a very unhealthy thing to do and slows down our performance at school. I believe that starting the school later and getting out later can increase more chances of students doing their homework and any other activities. They don't only get to not stay up late anymore, but wake up in the morning to finish the rest. It will also reduces stress and will increase our performance in school. We may think that we alone may not be important enough to succeed in something, let alone change the world. But we alone can change so much. There are many influential people out there, like Malala, Martin King, Mandela, etc. And all of them didn't just watch the world fall apart, they fought for their dreams, their beliefs, and what is right. Like Malala, she almost died standing up for women's rights to education, but she fought through it, and now because of her many girls are able to get education. Martin luther, he fought for black's rights, and got assassinated for it. But his legend lives on to this day. I could go on and on about many more of many influential people. But your dreams don't have to be something that could change the world. It can be something small. It can be something that's helpful to others, and changing yourself.
I prefer paper books over electronics. Mostly because I just like it if I can hold it physically. And technologies can sometimes get iffy and that ruins my moment of reading. Sometimes, I do prefer electronics, like if I'm outside or somewhere outside. Mostly because I don't want to carry a book and I have my phone with me all the time.
The book I am currently reading right now is called "Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony", by Penny Colman. It is a non-fiction historical book about two women that formed a strong friendship and changed the world. I pick Direct Characterization as one of my literary elements because it the author directly tells us about the characters. On page 7, the author wrote "A plump child with rosy cheeks, Elizabeth had bright blue eyes and two features she was particularly proud of---her very curly dark-brown hair and small feet." The author wrote this to give us an image of how Elizabeth looks like.
Honestly, we all look forward to Friday. But for me, friday don't feel like friday. I think it's cause we've been waiting for friday for the whole week that when it's actually friday, it doesn't feel it. |
